
Microsoft’s QBasic demonstration NIBBLES.BAS supports one or two players. Collect numbered targets, grow longer, and avoid walls and snakes. Skill levels and optional increasing speed alter the challenge.
The linked Internet Archive item identifies DOSBox emulation launching QBASIC.EXE NIBBLES.BAS. Keyboard controls support solo play and two players sharing a keyboard. The archived instructions say Shift+F5 runs the program. Emulator startup and distribution rights have not been independently tested.
Release Year 1991 refers to MS-DOS/QBasic distribution. The program copyright and archive publication metadata say 1990, so those are disclosed rather than treated as contradictory proof of a 1991 first creation. The sourced video shows the QBasic version, not a modern browser remake.
