Food-Based Growth in Arcade Mazes

Rock-Ola’s Nibbler combines maze navigation with Snake-style growth. Eat every dot to finish a stage, avoid your body, and complete the maze before time runs out. Later levels increase speed.

Archived Access and Original Hardware

The linked Internet Archive item documents browser-hosted arcade emulation. That is classified as Retro Emulator rather than a native HTML5 remake. Original four-way joystick controls are hardware context; current emulator bindings remain unqualified. Actual startup and distribution permissions are not independently tested.

Release and Recovery

The archive and other records date the arcade release to 1982. Its record describes five lives and an extra life after each fourth level. Maze walls are not automatically tagged Hard Walls because lethality has not been established. The video title says 1983 while its description says 1982; release dating here follows the game records.
